Shaping the Future is Africa’s largest youth-led economic forum committed to engaging, empowering and connecting the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators to resources and mentors they need to create a better world.

Since its inception in Nigeria, Shaping the Future community has grown to over 2000 delegates and young leaders from across 26 states of the federation with speakers from more than 9 countries, and an annual average of 1200 active young people.

Shaping the Future is a network of young leaders committed to using entrepreneurship, leadership and social innovation as catalysts for positive social and environmental impact. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and support young people to use innovation and entrepreneurship to solve the world’s biggest problems.

Our vision is to be the catalyst that connects and elevates the status and influence of young leaders and entrepreneurs, and their contributions to nation building. Our vision is borne out of a desire to assist young people as they manage the manifold challenges they face in business, leadership, the workplace, while empowering them to fulfill their potential and equip them to be meaningful contributors to socioeconomic development.

We are positively shaping the future of Nigeria and the entire continent by equipping these young people through trainings and dialogue in leadership events. All of which culminates into developing the character of these young people to become effective leaders.

Social Impacts

Our project empowers young people to be change agents and active citizens. We encourage young people to take civic engagements and social actions that can benefit the society and create a more equitable and sustainable future.

The Conference has attracted over 20 speakers from more than 9 different countries who have contributed in building on the successes of our previous projects and pushed the envelope by challenging these young people to break stereotypes and brave uncharted territories in emerging markets and taking community actions.
